Renew your Sticker/Plate

Once a year (don't miss it/50$ fine!), you have to renew your sticker or plate (if available) on your car.

Do the “Revisado”

5 minutes outside of Puerto on the right hand side, there's an orange building with a tire shop (Auto Armuelles s.a.). Park in front and walk in to the office on your left.

You need to have:

  1. Your current Insurance policy
  2. Title of the car (Titulo)
  3. Revisado from last year

The Lady will take some pictures of your car and process a new document. Cost is 18$ (2023)

  1. With that document, you can get new Car Insurance for another year from your Insurance company or you can purchase your insurance in the revisado office or in office in the Romeros' building.
  2. With revisado AND insurance doc, go to the municipal building. (across from Senafront). https://baru.municipios.gob.pa
    1. It's the office right in front where you can park.
    2. Show your documents and the ladies will do the process (Cedula/passport again)
    3. Pay the fee and you will get either a new sticker, new plate (if available) or a paper that says you have permission to drive. Stickers and plates have been taking a long time. Be sure to go back to the office to check on sticker or plate and if not in yet, get a new letter of permission to drive before your current one has expired.
  1. That's it
