Mega Project Puerto Baru

Environmental Study (in Spanish) https://puertobaru.com/environmental-impact-study/#dearflip-df_1126/1/

My (Uwe) humble opinion on this. Somebody missed the math class in 3rd grade. It will NOT happen.

Port Baru is designed to be a container hub for all ships Panama MaxE class and bigger, because of their size, they cannot pass the canal.

If you search for load capacity specifications, you find out that each and every one can contain 18.000 of 20“ containers (or 9000 - 40”. Whatever….

Simple math: 18.000 20“ makes a head to head container line of approx 138km. To be trucked to Bocas and reloaded - imagine.

And this is only ONE ship. It's technically not possible. Not by truck, nor by train (not existent). One street through the mountains to the other side. And that's just one way. For sure on the carribian side will also port the same ships to be loaded and unloaded.

Somebody needs to explain however this will work.
